Ibiza Airport (IATA code: IBZ and OACI code: LEIB)  is located 7.5 km from Ibiza down town and only 6 meters above sea level. It is characterized by the seasonality of demand and by mostly tourist traffic; the airport also experiences a significant interisland and peninsular traffic. Ibiza Airport receives annually an amount of 4.6 million passengers.

The airport is located inside the Natural Park of Ses Salines of Ibiza and Formentera and thus has a rigorous management regarding environmental issues; it has its own power supply through its power station and the airport in general promotes good water use, waste control and recycling.
