Lanzarote Airport (IATA code: ACE and OACI code: GCRR) is located 5 kilometers from the capital of Lanzarote, Arrecife, within the municipality of San Bartolomé. The airport is known as "Airport Guacimeta" and is the main means of communication of the island, besides being one of the main axes of the economy of Lanzarote; not surprisingly it reached nearly 5 million passengers 2010.

During a time was traditional the importance of charter traffic, but today most of the traffic is concentrated in international scheduled flights.The Airport has 2 passenger terminals and one cargo terminal; it also has an Aeronautics museum located just on the same road that gives access to the airport terminals and which can be visited from Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm, free of charge.
